You can work out with a medicine ball for an hour a day and not experience weight loss results. Medicine ball exercises are secondary in nature. This means that they have to be paired with other exercises. If you’re doing these exercises on your own, you likely won’t be satisfied with your outcomes.  That said, to be fair to these workouts, you can achieve certain goals provided you work with a physical trainer.

If you want to get the most out of bodyweight exercises for weight loss, avoid using them on their own.  Yes, it’s easy to do them for five or ten minutes during your favorite TV show at night.  On the other hand, it just isn’t enough.  You won’t target your fat loss and you won’t burn much overall.  Use these techniques for topping off a complete workout strategy of cardio and strength training.

If you want to see results, you should choose the exercises you perform wisely. If not, you will end up doing one of the many ineffective exercises for your given workout goals. You may work hard, but you still will not see significant results, at least not the result you want. This is why you should give close consideration to the exercise routines in which you engage.
